Karnataka Municipal Information System (KMIS)
City Manager’s Association, Karnataka in
association with Directorate of Municipal Administration and National
Informatics Centre, Bangalore initiated a study which aims at creating and
analysing a Database comprising of extensive micro level Municipal and Employee
information of urban local bodies in the State of Karnataka in 2003.
Objectives
- For better administrative decision making in
present day municipalities
- To identify potential areas for re - engineering
and reorganization
- To facilitate easy and fast access to municipal
information at a central level
- To capture the real facts about the ULBs to avoid
malpractice
- To analyse the resource availability, service
delivery, training required, recruitment need, transfer details of employees
etc.,
- To monitor & measure the service delivery
